The story of star-crossed lovers from feuding families, Romeo and Juliet fall in love, and get married in secret, while violence is breaking out on the streets. Romeo is banished from their town for killing Juliet’s kinsman, and Juliet takes a sleeping potion to avoid marrying her parents’ romantic choice for her, Paris. Romeo finds her seemingly dead, and takes his own life. When she awakes to find him dead, she does the same. The tragic death of the two young people allows their parents to let go of the ancient conflict between the two families, and the play ends.
